Gastric precancerous conditions: challenges in endoscopy and morhology

Gastric atrophy and intestinal metaplasia are considered to be precancerous conditions as they constitute the
background in which gastric adenocarcinoma may develop. Therefore, the erarly diagnosis of precancerous conditions and risk stratification for these patients are of paramount importance for the selection of cancer prevention strategy. This teleconference will be focused on endoscopic and histopathological approaches for diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori-associated gastritis, gastric atrophy and intestinal metaplasia.
