The 37th Indonesian Neuroimmunology Case Teleconference will present one case from Kyushu University Hospital.
Autoantibodies against membranous proteins localized in the nodes of Ranvier and paranodes have been identified in subsets of patients with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP), leading to the establishment of a new disease concept called autoimmune nodopathy (AN). At the conference, we will share a case of AN with autoantibodies against contactin-associated protein 1 (Caspr1), one of the paranodal proteins.
