Endoscopic diagnosis of precursors for gastric cancers
Detection of gastric cancer in early stages substantially improves the patients prognosis. Identification of individuals at high risk to develop EGC, through the diagnosis of gastric premalignant lesions (GPLs) could contribute to early diagnosis and possibly to modify their risk. It is very important education in recognizing endoscopically the GPLs, using standarized techniques and the role of image enhanced endoscopy could positively impact the care of these patients. It is also important to review the role of H. pylori eradication and other treatments that could be useful to reduce the risk of progression.Connection Method
